Winemaker Comments:
Petite Sirah has been used at our winery for more than 30 years as the backbone for tannin and structure in our Zinfandel wines. As such, we’ve rarely bottled Petite Sirah on its own. In this vintage, we decided to do just that, producing a powerful wine that is big and luscious. The aromas begin with black pepper and chocolate and build with black stone fruits and additional spices. On the palate, the massive tannin structure takes hold and frames the rich, ripe fruits into an expressive and exotic wine. While not for the faint of heart, this Petite Sirah does maintain its balance and finesse on the finish. Truly a delicious wine from beginning to end!
